Recipes to Share: Bihon

A Chinese delicacy that has been one of the Filipinos' top favorite food. This food is made up of Chinese rice noodles combined with some vegetables and meat all in one! : )

Ingredients:
1/2 kg Chinese rice noodles (bihon)
1 carrot
5 to 6 pcs. cabbage leaves
4 pcs. chorizos
2 pcs. chicken breast (boiled in 5 to 6 cups of water over medium heat until tender)
5 tbsp. oyster sauce
1 head garlic chopped
chicken broth
salt
pepper

Procedure:
1. Clean and julienne the carrot. Set aside.

2. Wash the cabbage leaves and chiffonade it. Set aside.



3. After frying the chorizos, slice it into discs.


4. When the chicken breast is already tender, shred the meat and save the broth.

5. In a wok, sauté garlic over medium heat. When the garlic turns golden brown, add the shredded chicken meat.


6. In a while, add the chicken broth and carrots, then add the oyster sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper.
 
7. Add the cabbage and stir slowly until the ingredients are combined well.

8. Add the Chinese rice noodles on top then slowly mix carefully so that the noodles won't break.


9. Add the sliced chorizo. Then mix well. Cover the wok for about 3 minutes to let the steam circulate.

This meal is best served with toasted bread. : ) Enjoy!
