Recipes to Share: Calamares

Ingredients:
1/2 kg squid
3 cups flour
2 cups water
1 egg
salt
pepper

Procedure:
1. Wash and clean the squid thoroughly. Cut into thin strips. Marinade using salt and pepper.


2. In a bowl mix flour, egg, and water to make the batter, continuously stirring until all lumps dissolved.

3. Dip the squid into the batter.

4. Deep-fry over medium heat until golden brown.
 

5. Calamares  is best served with hot sauce or ketchup.
