I'm very sorry for not being able to post for almost 3 months. I was very busy at school doing our research since July and I really had to concentrate on it. But now I'll be able to relax for a while since we're having our sem-break for a week and that means I'll have more time to do some cooking : )
and now... Here's my entry for October! : ) Chicken Kiev
Ingredients:
2 kg chicken breast, deboned and flatten with a mallet
For the Filling:
3/4g butter, softened
8 cloves of garlic, chopped
1/2 onion, chopped
250g cheese, grated
4 cups breadcrumbs
3 tbsp brown sugar
salt
pepper
dried basil
Additional breadcrumbs for coating
Procedures:
1. Marinade the chicken overnight. You can use any type of marinade. I used soy sauce, milk, garlic, and pepper.
2. In a bowl, add butter. Mash the butter using a fork to make it easier for you to mix the rest of the ingredients.
3. Add the chopped garlic and onion.
4. Add the grated cheese and mix well.
5. Add breadcrumbs and continue mixing.
6. Add Brown sugar.
7. Add pepper, a little salt, and dried basil leaves.
8. Mix well then set aside.
9. Lay a piece of chicken on a plate.
10. Add the breadcrumb mixture.
11. Roll the chicken, making sure that the filling will not come out. Arrange in an open platter.
12. Coat with breadcrumbs.
13. Deep fry chicken over medium heat.
14. Fry until it becomes golden brown. This is best served with gravy : )
