It's the first day of September! :) My partner had thought about making sandwich spreads because both of us are trying to lose weight for about two months now - and still continuing. We had to cut down our food intake and since rice is a big part in every dish we eat, we must also reduce the amount of that. Eating breads for breakfast is a big help in reducing weight but not all breads have fillings or toppings.
So instead of buying those ready-made sandwich spreads, why not make your own? It's much healthier because store-bought spreads contain lots of preservatives since they need to keep it fresh in order for them to last long. Make your own sandwich spread. keep it in the fridge and use clean spoons when spreading to prevent it from getting spoiled.
Experiment, try different ingredients and try to mix and match, My partner did eggs with mayo and tuna with mayo (there were spices involved too, to enhance the flavors). When I was a kid, my Mom makes jams from fruits harvested from our backyard and they were so yummy. Go ahead and make one now! :)
