Foodie Adventure: Chatime

Personally, not only do I love to eat but I do also love to drink in cafés, coffee shops and whatnot. Milk teas are my favorite because they are sort of relaxing to drink especially during hot days. It makes me feel so happy like I'm totally refreshed after a tired week at work. For me, milk teas are really healthy because you drink them, you are actually hitting two birds with one stone: getting calcium from milk and antioxidants from tea! Isn't it awesome?! Here's one of the many franchised milk tea shops that my partner and I love to buy from.

Chatime was originated in Taiwan and was founded by Henry Wang Yao-Hui last 2005. He evolved the art of making tea by producing machines that produces tea then top them with fruits, jellies, beans and all sorts of toppings so as to top other competitors in the market. They opened their first outlet in California, then in Australia, Philippines and other parts of Asia.

Here in the Philippines, we have lots of Chatime outlets in malls or near schools. So my partner and I happen to saw an outlet in one of the malls and decided to buy some. This particular outlet was small. Mind you, different franchise or outlet owners have their own preferences of what they want their store to be like. As for this one, it was a small shop with about two tall tables and a pair of stools for each. Upon entering, you will be greeted by their staff and you get to see the menu:

It's either you want to check the menu above you or you get to check it on the screen just beside the counter.

New products are advertised using colorful placards that will really get your attention. So after deciding what to get, we lined-up and waited for our turn (there were two ladies in front of us), we approached the guy, gave our orders and handed our money. Actually, he asked us how much sugar would there be and what kind of toppings we would like to add into our milk tea which is the exciting part because we get to choose just right about everything what we like : )

The guy gave us this wireless call vibrator which will vibrate when our milk tea is ready. So, while waiting for our milk teas, we get to watch the staff making our tea. They have plenty of purple jugs which we think are the storage for those brewed tea. There were also lots of aluminum devices which steam is coming out. So I'm pretty sure each staff had underwent training to use those tea making machines.

And right after 10 minutes, our tea was ready!~ : ) It was delicious, healthy and refreshing!!! I really recommend this to all of you tea lovers out there <3 p="">
